Our Story

Founded in 2003, Ridgegate Financial is an independent financial planning firm offering services such as financial planning, retirement planning, multi-generational and legacy planning, financial planning for real estate investors, and wealth preservation and management. We offer these solutions through both our in-house staff and an extended team of experts. Our team will work with you to identify your resources, goals, unique needs, and risk tolerance. Together, we’ll create a plan that you can understand and refer to as a useful, working document.

A typical client could be someone who has done well during their earning years, but might be concerned with threatening market conditions, ruinous taxation, crippling healthcare costs, complicated estate issues, or uncertainty about structuring their assets for lifelong income. Many of our clients had managers or advisors who did very well with helping them to accumulate wealth, and they realized it was time to make the transition to a retirement and legacy planning approach throughout their lifetime and on to the next generation.

You are under no obligation to implement your plan with Ridgegate Financial, however, most clients do implement some or all of the plan we create. This then becomes the basis for our ongoing relationship. We then work with you through regularly scheduled reviews as well as frequent communication and follow-up. You will never be abandoned as an “orphan client.”

Purpose. Planning. Portfolio.® is our proprietary financial planning process. We believe so firmly in this mechanism that we have it trademarked.

Purpose.

True financial planning must start with purpose. We will always spend the necessary time discussing a client's purpose in retirement.

• What is important to those clients?
• What are their specific goals for their retirement?
• What sort of legacy do they want to leave?
• Do they have parents to take care of?
• How about their children? Grandchildren?
• The list goes on and on...

We know that without addressing these questions and defining a client's purpose, there is no way to identify retirement success.

Planning.

Once we work with our clients to identify their purpose, the real brunt of the work begins: planning. We believe that building a Balanced Retirement Ecosystem™ requires us to thoroughly address the 5 areas of financial planning. Portfolio.

After the purpose has been identified, and the planning has been done to address that purpose, a portfolio of financial strategies and tactics naturally emerges. It's not so much an afterthought as much as it is a naturally developing mix of financial vehicles, legal mechanisms, and tax strategies that exist to support the planning that addresses the retirement purpose. Alongside our strategic partners of both legal and tax professionals, we seek to develop a customized portfolio uniquely suited to your personal needs in retirement and beyond.

Independence is very important to us. What does that mean to you? It means we are not owned or controlled by any parent company. That means we can choose from a wider variety of solutions, tools, or products to help you address your goals since we have no home office mandating that we move any quota of product.

Culture is very important to us at Ridgegate Financial. We are professionals, and we run our office that way. We also value our country, family, and education very highly.
