What motivated you to pursue financial planning & wealth management?

In college, I stumbled into an introductory Financial Planning course taught by the head of the Financial Planning department. That semester sparked my passion for the field. I enrolled in the department and had the unique opportunity to travel across the country, visiting advisory offices, learning from industry experts, and attending top conferences like those hosted by Charles Schwab and Fidelity. The more I learned, the more I knew this was the right path for me. After graduating, I dove straight into the independent financial advisory world—and I’ve never looked back.

What drew you to Ridgegate™ Financial rather than other firms?

Before joining Ridgegate™, I worked at two independent advisory firms, servicing high-net-worth individuals. While many firms use buzzwords like “comprehensive planning,” “tailored solutions,” and “tax strategies,” Ridgegate™ actually delivers on these promises. The firm’s dedication to executing strategies that truly benefit clients was a major draw for me. It’s this commitment to action that makes our future—and more importantly, our clients’ futures—so bright.

What about your work do you find most exciting?

Every day presents a new challenge and an opportunity to learn. Because we don’t offer cookie-cutter solutions, we’re constantly evaluating new strategies to attempt to better position our clients for success. That means conducting in-depth research, staying on top of evolving market trends, and refining portfolio strategies. It’s a dynamic, ever-changing process that keeps the work exciting and engaging.

What is your most rewarding work experience so far?

One of the most rewarding experiences has been seeing the tangible impact of strategic planning in clients’ lives—whether it’s helping a family make informed choices in transition into retirement, guiding a business owner through succession planning, or structuring portfolios that align with personal goals. It’s fulfilling to know that my work directly contributes to helping people strive to achieve peace of mind and long-term success.

Which personal accomplishments make you most proud?

Earning my CFP® designation is one of my proudest accomplishments, as it reflects a deep commitment to both my professional development and the clients I serve. I’m also proud of the long-term relationships I’ve built with clients who trust me to guide them through some of life’s most significant financial decisions. Outside of work, traveling and experiencing cultures around the world with my beautiful wife and our English Cream Golden Retriever has been a meaningful and enriching part of my life.

What people or ideas influence you most in life?

Growing up as an Army brat, I had the unique experience of traveling the world, following my dad’s military service wherever it took us. That upbringing taught me invaluable lessons about respect, honesty, and the value of hard work—principles that continue to guide me today. These experiences shaped not only my personal values but also my professional approach, emphasizing integrity and dedication in everything I do.
