What motivated you to pursue financial planning & wealth management?

I was motivated to pursue financial planning and wealth management by my experiences in Community Banking. Community Banks have a more personal relationship with customers and their local economy than big banks. People often work with Community Banks to get things done that many big banks just won't do. My time in Community Banking taught me how to build trust and address unique financial needs, inspiring me to pursue Financial Planning where I could form deep client relationships and provide tailored solutions.

What drew you to Ridgegate™ Financial rather than other firms?

Ridgegate™ Financial’s independence was the primary draw for me. After working at one of the largest firms in the industry, Fidelity Investments, I was intrigued by the freedom and flexibility of independent financial advisors. I chose Ridgegate™ for its independence, which allows me to offer more unbiased, flexible solutions tailored to each client’s goals - something that is not always possible at larger firms which often rely on cookie-cutter solutions.

What about your work do you find most exciting?

Finding optimal solutions to client situations is the most exciting part of being an advisor at Ridgegate™ Financial. Every client is unique, and every situation calls for a different approach. With the breadth of tools and expertise available through the Ridgegate™ Team, we can develop truly customized solutions. Determining how best to do so is an exciting process.

What is your most rewarding work experience so far?

The most rewarding experience comes from client feedback. We play an important role in our clients’ lives. Hearing about how well things are going, and how much enjoyment they receive from living the lifestyle we’ve helped them plan for, these experiences are by far the most rewarding.

Which personal accomplishments make you most proud?

The greatest pride and fulfillment of my life comes from having my career properly ordered in service of higher principals: God, family, and community. Personally navigating the financial complexities of living one’s purpose, especially in service of others, drives me to connect with clients and lead them through similar challenges.

What people or ideas influence you most in life?

As a graduate of a renowned liberal arts college, lifelong learning is a habit. Theology and History are my two favorite topics. Some of my life’s most influential people and authors include Scott Hahn, Joe Heschmeyer, Brant Pitre, Raymond Ibrahim, Rodney Stark, and many more.
